La Liga giants Real Betis have opened talks with Inter Milan to sign Albania midfielder Christian Aslani, but the fee gap remains a problem.

Aslani has just finished his second season with Inter. But has yet to establish himself as a regular in the team’s midfield, having previously emerge at Empoli before being snappe up by the Nerazzurri.

While Betis’ offer is far from what Inter want, it is possible the La Liga side could try to bridge the gap by including a sell-on clause in the deal.

However, reports from Italy say that talks are still in their early stages and have not progressed seriously, but Betis’ interest is “real”.

In fact, the newspaper reports, the Andalusian club have already made their move. They are advancing in talks, hoping to convince both Inter and Asllani on the transfer.

According to ABC, Betis’s strategy would be to offer to buy part of Asllani’s playing rights. They reportedly hoping to spend about €6-8 million on the former Empoli midfielder.

However, Inter would also retain part of the midfielder’s playing rights. Therefore, they would be entitled to a significant sell-on fee.

This would be similar to the manner in which Real Betis signed Rodrigo Riquelme from Atletico Madrid this summer.
